Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer recently signed bills:
Allowing workers to stay home from work without repercussions if they have Covid symptoms, tested positive for the virus, or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive.
Grant of immunity from lawsuits filed by workers or customers who may have contracted the virus so long as the business is following federal, state, and local safety laws.
This is great news for Michiganders but particularly businesses that are complying with public health requirements and operating in a safe manner. We all want to get back to work so long as it can be done safely.
